Smells are surer than sounds and is a truly mute language gifted by nature that provides the ability for insects to perceive and then transmit chemical information for various biological interactions. Pheromone mediated management is an important technology and how the knowledge of powerful natural signals can be brought into practical application for the management of various insect pests in horticulture, agriculture, forestry, stored products, insect vectors of various diseases, golf courses and insect pests of public health importance.
